Obama “Modestly Optimistic” About Fiscal Cliff Deal

President Barack Obama said he had a “constructive” meeting with congressional leaders on Friday and he is “modestly optimistic” that a deal can be reached before the nation heads over the fiscal cliff in four days.

But he said it now depends on Senate leaders who are working to come up with an agreement that can pass both houses of Congress.
